Santa Monica -- Savage Garden

In Santa Monica, in the wintertime,
The lazy streets so undemanding
I walk into the crowd

In Santa Monica, you get your coffee from
The coolest places on the promenade
Where people dress just so

Beauty so unavoidable,
Everywhere you turn it's there.
I sit and wonder what am I doing here?

But on the telephone line I am anyone,
I am anything I want to be.
I could be a super model or Norman Mailer
And you wouldn't know the difference
Or would you?

In Santa Monica,
All the people got
Modern names like Jake or Mandy
And modern bodies too

In Santa Monica,
On the boulevard,
You’ll have to dodge those in-line skaters
Or they'll knock you down

I never felt so lonely
Never felt so out of place
I never wanted something more than this

But on the telephone line I am anyone,
I am anything I want to be
I could be a super model or Norman Mailer
And you wouldn't know the difference
On the telephone line I am any height,
I am any age I want to be
I could be a caped crusader, or space invader
And you wouldn't know the difference
Or would you?

Or would you?...

Truly, Madly, Deeply

Every time I saw her, I just can’t help gazing at her, grinning like an idiot, drunk in her beauty. Her tidy bang, her crystal-like eyes, her rosy cheeks, her sexy lips, and the way she talked, and the way she sang…

She said she felt fairly uneasy about me staring, shyly smiley... She knows why, I’m sure.
"I just can’t help doing it~" I murmured unconsciously.

'… One of the amazing things about Rachel was (that) I wanted to kiss her every time she was talking about soming interesting, which was all the time… It was sexy, it was weird… '
The monologue by Hugh Grant in the film ‘About a Boy’. Now, it is exactly how I feel.

Truly, I’m in love with her, this heaven-sent creature, my angel, Truly, Madly, Deeply

<< If Only >>, Splendid Movie!!!

2008-11-16 16:43
By accident, I downloaded this movie from BT Swallow. And accidently, I found out that the story just takes place in London, the town that I’ve been always longing for since the moment I got my consciousness, or I should say awareness, of this world was gifted. And for the entire afternoon, I’ve been extremely absorbed in this splendid movie…

On a cloudy London morning, the couple, Ian and Samantha just woke up, and found that it’s gonna be late for Ion’s presentation unless they hurry up for everything. It was not their day absolutely. A cup of Coca Cola tossed on Samantha’s shirt when a motorcycle stormed by the corner where she kept waiting for the green light, a passenger bumped into her couple of minutes after, a billiard ball smashed Ion’s glass, watch clashed, and of course also the failure of his presentation attached… and on the end of the day, Samantha killed in a traffic accident in the evening after her graduate concert. And meanwhile, both of them found something wrong with their relationship…
All the above was found a nightmare when Ion was shock by the supposedly killed darling murmuring making a joke in his back. Suddenly he felt so blessed since anything awful happened was nothing but a dream. Sooner however, he learnt that some of the incidents occurred in the nightmare un-alteredly or nearly re-occurred in the real life. The tossed Coca Cola, the clashed watch, the broken glass… He was terribly afraid of losing Samantha, the one who truly loves him, and tried his best to prevent everything foreseen from happening. Gradually did Ion learn how important the girl means to him and finally Ion hopped into the cab which was crashed in the dream and, will most probably take him to the end of his life, together with his beloved who was totally un-informed of the presumed tragic ending. In the end, Samantha survived...

- Samantha: What?
- Ian: I love you!
- Samantha: Oh~ I love you too!
- Ian: I wanna tell you why I love you.
- Samantha: It’s… it’s raining! You know that right?
- Ian: I have to tell you this and, you need to hear it.
I loved you since I met you. But I wouldn't allow myself to truly feel it until today. I was always thinking ahead, making decision (so of fear) (Who can help me with this?). Today, because of you, what I learnt from you. Every choice I have made was different and my life, has completely changed. And I've learnt, that if you do that, (you) then you're living your life fully. It doesn't matter if you have, 5 minutes or 50 years. Samantha if not for today if not for you, I will never have known love at all… So thank you for being the person who taught me to love, and to be loved.
- Samantha: … I don't know what do say~
- Ian: You don't have to say anything… I just wanted to tell you.

Absolutely excellent movie, undoubtedly, whatever other people say, it’s been the very best movie that I have ever seen, in my life. Greate acting, amazing scenario, perfectly shot.
I was so much swamped and moved by the greate greate significance of love conveyed between the lines above and of course the fabulous acting under the pouring London rain as well, that I just can’t help crying. So impressive, so sensational!!! This is all about love…

The hero in the play is very much a typical, standard British gentleman, who got me aware of the fact that the English I’ve been speaking for nearly one year is no longer British but SA accent. (Once upon a time, I was told by Mark that I did have the accent whereas I just thought it was sort of compliment.) I love it!!! And he just totally, entirely, completely got me off the hook, recovering me from a big misinterpretation of British accent which means too much upon my faith in English and the British culture. I’m grateful to the Jude Law looked-like actor, Paul Nicholls. You’re just excellent! Thanks so much.

Sorry, there’s still too much that I haven’t written or cannot write here due to my not very good English… So, till later!!!

GIRL, I LOVE YOU~~~

I met the girl whom I've been thinking of all day long(and all night long Zzz.. :-))today. She's fabulous! Finally I've found someone whom I can speak MY English (sounds wierd doesn't it?~)to. She's one year younger than me while her English is absolutely undoubtedly fantastic~~~ She's the one that I've been longing for since ever.
We do share a lot in common. Especially music, she loves Britpop and Bassanova, which are exactly my preference and what I play. I do look and am looking forward to a oppotunity where I can play my guitar and sing my song to her.
You get really inspired by someone right, extremely excessively. We went to the Christian shop where I was once taken by Ayi and WB, had some coffee and cookies. We chatted a lot, in English, concerning everything. Life experience, hobbies, preferences, the way we learn English, the first impression about each other and blablablabla``` Yes, lovely chat!! A girl loves travelling, a girl who used to be UK for a fortnight, a girl who thinks Edinborough is where she actually belongs to, a girl speaks mixed-English, a girl who eats date everyday, a girl who ... I think I truly love her, from the depth of my heart. Hi 'blonde', can you hear me??
I love your smile, genuinely. Do never forget your enchanting smile, which gets me on the top of the world.

Till later```

Chuffed about my old classmates! But...

Summer vacation-ing...
It has been nearly(or sharply) 2 weeks14days332hours since the moment I came outside the brand new but confusing air terminal. I've always been staying at home with the god's blessing - the air-conditioner. It's toooooo hot outside! :-[ But... what can I do??? (shrugging)

Well, just saw the chats on line, amongst the whole class which I had studied with them for merely 1year of my Year 4 in primary school. They're talking about planning a get-together after 10years, maybe for some of them there are less. It's for sure that I participated in the chatting as a member of them... However, what surprised me is that nearly all of them still remember me! except the one who didn't she was somewhat 'blamed' by other people by saying 'Well I don't...'.
I was fairly chuffed with my friends. Actually I really didn't expected that many people could have remembered me. B-] I love those young pals! Makes me warm!!! Um... (*~_~*) (even though the city is 'WARM' enough, it's crazy~~)
Regarding the plan, it turned out to be much more complicated than I'd expected, and costing also. Go to the harbour called 'Mermaid Ship side' which is farrrrrr... away from the urban area, where we all live. And after that we can KTV, BBQ or do something even crazier. Then the craziest pal book several rooms in hotel there so we can rest untill the next morning.(Who's going to rest?~?) Finally we come back home right after the lunch next day.

It's too much isn't it?~~~
We are just students on campus. I genuinely think that a get-together for us doesn't need to be that kind, however long time we haven't met each other. Lavender(I don't really her Eng-name. But she loves lavender and purple~) one said that a KTV+dinner meeting is conventional, she wanted it to be special. Well, I must say that I don't agree with you though I did like you in secret that years~~ It's quite simple for sure, but it's amazing as well. When you've arrived in advance and hear someone knocking on the door, just keep quiet. The moment is going to be a fantasy when you're just trying to recognize him/her while he/she is quite embarrassed standing still, trying his/her best to know who is who. Isn't is amazing? Absolutely~ And then we do lots of chats, we laugh, telling each other his/her own stories after our parting. I love this sort of atmosphere.
I haven't decided whether to go, but, maybe we should just see how it is going to be carried out. Presumably this is really a trendy one... nonetheless I be increulous of it~~~

Sylvia

What light is light,

if Sylvia be not seen?

What joy is joy,

if Sylvia be not by?

Unless it be to think that she is by,

and feed upon the shadow of perfection;

Except I be by Sylvia in the night,

there is no music in the nightingale;

Unless I look on Sylvia in the day,

there is no day for me to look upon......

by W. Shakespeare in the movie 'Shakespears in Love'
